WalkTalkConnect is hosting a fundraising walk to raise awareness of rare brain spinal cord tumors affecting the central nervous system. This walk will take place on May 21st at the Excelsior Brewing Co. in Excelsior, MN from 12:00pm-4:00pm.

“You have a one in a million chance of being diagnosed with an ependymoma in your spinal cord as an adult (even more rare as a woman). It’s actually more common as a pediatric brain tumor. And I can’t think of a better reason to walk than that.”

WalkTalkConnect is a non-profit dedicated to raising awareness of rare brain and spinal cord tumors affecting our central nervous system. WalkTalkConnect was started by Kathy Kuhl, a rare spinal cord rumor survivor, and her husband after her battle with a spinal cord tumor in 2014– rare tumor type being diagnosed to 1 in a million people.

“… Tom and I intend on taking full advantage so that we can help others faced with the same grim diagnosis to understand and feel empowered to recover to their full potential.”
